Welcome to St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church. We are delighted that you have chosen to visit us here on the web, and we look forward to your visit among us in our parish very soon.

Who Are We?

We are a wonderfully diverse community of young families with children and youth of all ages who bring energy and enthusiasm to our parish. We are a community of those in the prime of life who bring the stability and maturity and balance that comes with the experience of daily fidelity to our Christian commitment. We are also a community of elders who bring the wisdom that comes with age and a life filled with the joys and struggles that lead to a deep-seated hope that is shared with our community. In a word, we are a community in which everyone may find a place to meet God in all the ages of life.

Our Parish

Our parish is relatively young among the Byzantine Catholic Churches of the greater Pittsburgh area. It was founded on 28 June 1972 as a way of meeting the spiritual and pastoral needs of Byzantine Catholic faithful as they moved to the suburban areas of Pittsburgh. Over the past 40 years, it is maturing as a spiritual home for both those who were born into the Byzantine Catholic Church and also for those who have come to discover and embrace its rich spiritual, liturgical and cultural heritage.

On these pages you will find more about our parish, our prayer life, our activities and especially the people who make up our lively parish. In addition, you will find articles and information to assist all of us in growing in our faith, our life and our spiritual understanding.

We hope to share our life with you on these pages. Even more, we hope that you will be able to join us in worship sometime soon!
